2008 World Junior Championships Congratulations to five AAU Junior Team Members who made the
US National Junior
Team and competed May 7 - 11 against the best in the world at
the
Salina Tubbs Olie Burton III Victoria Stambaugh Gabriella Vazzanna Thomas Lee
Salina won five fights to win Gold and became the Junior World Champion. What an amazing feat. Olie won four fights then lost to Korea 2-1 to earn Bronze. Victoria had a bye in the first round and then lost 4-3 in the second round to the eventual Bronze medal winner from Azerbaijan. Gabriella also had a bye in the first round and then lost 3-2 to Turkey. Thomas won his first two fights then lost in overtime to Turkey, the eventual Bronze medal winner.
