2008 AAU Taekwondo Youth Leadership Award Recipient

Amanda James, from Montgomery, Alabama, instructed by Pam Smith and Robert Hendrix, has been selected as the recipient of the 2008 United States Amateur Athletic Union Taekwondo Youth Leadership Award. The judges for this award have an extremely difficult task in choosing only one winner from the outstanding group of AAU athletes who apply for this coveted award every year. The AAU Taekwondo program is filled with talented, motivated young people who exhibit the qualities needed to be successful in any endeavor they choose. As an athlete, student and supportive member of their respective community, each applicant enhances the organizations they support.  Congratulations on winning this $1000 scholarship award to be used for higher education. The AAU Taekwondo program is proud to support you in your scholastic endeavors.
