2025 Coaches On-line Certification Course

All Coaches at AAU licensed Events must be certified by completing the 2024-2025 online certification course and it must be completed in time for a tournament director to be able to confirm your annual certification.  Please read all the information provided here before advancing to the course.
 
Steps to Complete

1. Coaches must first obtain a 2024-2025 AAU Non-Athlete Membership if over age 18 years of age.  This is not immediate and should be done well in advance of registering for the Coaches On-line Course.  You may obtain membership at this link:  AAU Membership  If you are under 18 years of age, you will require an Athlete Membership. 
2. If you are going to be both a Coach and an Official, you may complete the 2024-2025 COACH AND OFFICIAL ON-LINE COURSE and upon completion of the modules for Traditional Forms, Point Sparring, Olympic Sparring and Additional Events, you will be certified as a coach for each of those events.  To complete the Officials Certification, you need to go to this link AAU Officials Certification to complete the additional steps required.
3. Once you sign into either the Coaches On-line Course or the Coaches and Officials On-line Course, you will need to provide profile information. 
4. Please note that completing this on a phone is difficult and at the end of a course module, you must submit the questions that you answered during the course. If using any electronic device and those questions do not come up to be submitted, look to the bottom of the video and you will see a star.  Click on the star and the questions will come up to be submitted. 

   

5. The Coaches On-line Course allows you to select which courses you wish to be certified in for 2024-25.  There are four course modules:
   1. Traditional Forms
   2. Point Sparring
   3. Olympic Sparring
   4. Sport Poomsae
   5. Additional Events
6. You may complete one or all courses.  However, at AAU National Events you will not be allowed to coach athletes for events if you have not been certified in those events.  For example:  If you only complete the course for Olympic Sparring and you have athletes that are competing in Traditional Forms, you will not be allowed in the ring as a coach and you will be unable to file a protest in that event.  You will always be able to go back and complete additional modules at no additional cost.  We highly recommend you complete any module for events in which your athletes will be competing.  This will prepare you to train them best for the AAU rules. 

Cost

The cost to register for the Coaches On-line Course or the Coaches and Officials On-line Course is $99 plus a service fee. The charge that comes through on your credit or debit card will be from ISportz, who is the vendor for the on-line courses.  DO NOT DISPUTE THESE CHARGES.  BE AWARE OF THE VENDOR’S NAME BECAUSE IF YOU DISPUTE YOU WILL BE REMOVED A CERTIFIED COACH OR OFFICIAL.
