2013 AAU JUNIOR OLYMPIC GAMES TAEKWONDO

Taekwondo is pleased to present DJ (David John) Mock and Emily Kaii-Ziegler with the 2013 Joel Ferrell Outstanding Performance Memorial Award. The Joel Ferrell Award is presented each year to an athlete who demonstrates outstanding athletic accomplishments and sportsmanship.  This year’s award was presented by Mike Friello, the AAU Taekwondo National Chair. 

Emily is 16 years old and is from Annapolis, Maryland and studies at East Coast Martial Arts.  She has been a member of AAU for 8+ years and in 2012 Emily was on the AAU National Team (Fin Weight).  

DJ is 16 years old and is from Andrews, North Carolina.  He has been a member of AAU for 8+ years and also is a D ranked official for the AAU Taekwondo program.

Congratulations to both young athletes on their achievements!
